2 Brick women who pleaded guilty to animal cruelty sentenced to nearly 1 year in jail

Two Brick Township women who pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and child neglect have been sentenced to nearly a year in jail.

Aimee Lonczak and Michele Nycz were sentenced to 364 days in Ocean County Jail.

Authorities say that the women hoarded more than 170 dogs and cats in their home in deplorable conditions. They were arrested in December 2022.

Lonczak’s 16-year-old daughter was also in the home at the time, hence the child neglect charges.
