Suffolk County police have arrested a driver in connection to a hit-and-run that killed a motorcyclist in Brentwood on Monday evening.
Police say 46-year-old Manuel Gomez, of Brentwood, was charged with leaving the scene of an incident involving a fatality.
He is being held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Aug. 3.
The crash killed Andrew Eloy Khammach La Cruz, who left behind his wife and 10-year-old son.
