Two goats and three sheep are dead after someone dumped bushes into a pen in Riverhead.

The owner of Goodale Farms Harold Goodale says the bushes that was thrown into the pen are toxic to goats and sheep.

Goodale says it happened Monday when someone ignored a sign telling people it was private property. He now wants people think twice before disposing of backyard bushes around animals.

"Everybody thinks goats can eat everything, but there's a lot of things they can't eat," Goodale says.

The loss to the family farm is roughly $3,000 to $5,000.

At this time, it is not known who threw the buses in the pen. Goodale says they are now looking into installing cameras at other parts of the farm.
