Dix Hills family donate $20,000 to help survivor of brain injuries cover medical costs

A Dix Hills family turned their grief into a gift for others on Random Acts of Kindness Day.

Jenny Goldsmith lost her sister, Samantha, four years ago following a traumatic brain injury she suffered when she was hit by a car.

The Goldsmith family is donating $20,000 to the Brain Injury Association of New York State.

It gives grants to survivors of traumatic brain injuries and their families help cover medical costs.

The family also honor Samantha's memory by reminding people to pay it forward with one act of kindness for someone else
