Poughkeepsie man arrested on gun possession charges
Police say they arrested Kain Brown, 32, in the vicinity of 531 Main St. Wednesday, acting on information that he had an active warrant returnable to Poughkeepsie City Court.

A man in Poughkeepsie has been arrested on gun possession charges.
Police say they arrested Kain Brown, 32, in the vicinity of 531 Main St. Wednesday, acting on information that he had an active warrant returnable to Poughkeepsie City Court.
Upon his arrest, law enforcement officers say they discovered that Brown was in possession of a disassembled Glock 19 semi-automatic handgun and a forged concealed carry permit. Additionally, he was found with ammunition, an extended magazine and multiple auto-sear devices.
In addition to the warrant, Brown now faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a forged instrument. He has been processed and is currently held pending arraignment, awaiting further legal proceedings related to the charges against him.
