DA: Man arraigned on rape charges 20 years after fleeing to El Salvador

A man is back in Suffolk County from El Salvador to face charges that he raped his stepdaughter 20 years ago.
Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney says the 47-year-old man assault the then 14-year-old victim for over a year.
When the victim’s mother found out, she went to police, but the man fled before he could be arrested.
He was caught and extradited from El Salvador.
He was arraigned on rape charges Thursday.
