Thousands attend 40th annual Oyster Fest in Oyster Bay despite rainy weather

Close to 200,000 people attended the 40th annual Oyster Fest on Saturday despite the rainy weather conditions.
The festival features over 30 different varieties of food choices including raw, fried and wood fire oysters.
“That's what brought us here, these amazing oysters. Can't get enough of them,” said attendee Dannie Esposito.
Optimum is among the many sponsors of the event this year. There will also be a News 12 booth for free prizes and giveaways.
Oyster Fest continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
