Riverhead considers overnight ban on commercial vehicles parked on residential streets

A 26-year-old was assaulted by three men and stabbed Sunday near the Riverhead train station.

Police say the men attacked the victim from behind at around 4 p.m. in the area of Northville Turnpike near Roanoke Avenue.

Police say the victim does not know the men who attacked him.

The victim was treated at a hospital and is expected to recover, according to authorities.
