2021 hurricane season officially underway

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is also forecasting a 60% chance for an above-normal season.

Tuesday marks the official start of the 2021 hurricane season.
Experts are forecasting 17 named storms, including eight hurricanes.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is also forecasting a 60% chance for an above-normal season.
The 2020 hurricane season was one for the record books, with 30 named storms and 12 storms that made landfall in the continental United States.
Hurricane season lasts through November.
