2 pop-up COVID-19 vaccination sites open in Freeport, Brentwood
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced two more pop-up COVID-19 vaccination sites are opening for some hard-hit Long Island communities.
A vaccination site opened today at the Freeport Recreation Center in Freeport.
The other site is La Espiguita Soccer located in Brentwood. That site will open tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The sites are not open to the public - instead recipients are chosen by community leaders.
The governor says the community-based pop-ups are part of the commitments to ensure fairness and equity in the vaccine distribution process.
