Two seniors at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview won a $100,000 scholarship in the nation's top science competition. Amanda Marinoff and Janelle Schlossberger won the prize in the Siemens Competition's team category for their project on tuberculosis. Their research focused on developing alternatives for treating the disease.The announcement was made Monday at New York University.The pair will split the $100,000 prize.
