Two people were injured after a small plane crashed on Shelter Island.
Police say that the single-engine 1929 bi-plane crashed after taking off and landed on its nose.
The pilot, 83-year-old George DeMar, reportedly told police he was having engine problems, which caused the crash.
DeMar and his passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The crash comes just a month after an 88-year-old crashed a plane on Shelter Island. Police say the pilot over-applied his brakes as he was taxiing at a grass airfield.
