Police are searching for a man suspected of trying to abduct two teenage girls in Brentwood.Suffolk police say the attacks happened between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Thursday within blocks of each other. According to police, the girls were dragged off the street and into the woods or a vacant area. One was threatened with a knife.
Police say both girls were accosted on their way to school and were able to escape. According to police, one girl had her pocketbook stolen. Officials say the suspect is around 30 years old and between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall and was wearing dark clothes.
The incidents happened off school property, but parents say they want more patrols in the surrounding area.
