Two firefighters are recovering after responding to a fire at an abandoned school in Nassau County. Investigators say the fire stared in the shed connected to the Grant Street School in New Cassel.

Two firefighters are recovering after responding to a fire at an abandoned school in Nassau County.
Investigators say the fire stared in the shed connected to the Grant Street School in New Cassel.
One firefighter suffered smoke inhalation and the other injured his finger.
Plans are in the works to demolish the building next month.
