A daring rescue was made Thursday after a boat capsized in the East Rockaway Inlet.

Officials say two passengers were found hanging onto a buoy around 2:45 p.m. Thursday. 

Officials say a wave may have caused the boat to overturn and sink.

Lifeguards were on the scene in a matter of minutes and the pair was taken to the hospital.
