Police in Nassau County say a 1-year-old girl is dead after she fell into a bathtub and drowned Monday evening.
According to investigators, the incident took place at a home on Talbot Drive. When officers arrived, they say the girl's mother was on the front lawn administering CPR to the baby.
The girl was taken to North Shore University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
