1 year observed since first confirmed COVID-19 case in New York

The 39-year-old woman from Manhattan was a health care worker and believed to have got the infection while traveling in Iran.

Today marks one year since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in New York.
On March 1, 2020 Gov. Andrew Cuomo made the announcement.
The 39-year-old woman from Manhattan was a healthcare worker and believed to have got the infection while traveling in Iran.
The woman returned from Iran a week before her diagnosis and began to experience respiratory symptoms.
