One person is dead and another is injured following an early morning shooting in Milford, police said.

Officers responded just before 3 a.m. Wednesday to a home at 871 East Broadway after receiving a report of a shooting.

Police said two people were shot. One person was found dead at the scene, and a woman was taken to the hospital.

No information has been released yet about the identities of either victim or the extent of the woman’s injuries.

Milford detectives are investigating.
