All right. Well, let's check back in now. We are dealing with this bitter blast still. We're checking in with teen meteorologist Scott Skoff. Now, Scott, you said today is not the end of these cold temperatures. I know it's the holiday season so I need to just get used to it. But man, yeah, there's a song that comes to mind. Follow la la la, la, la la oy because that's what we're looking at with colder temperatures. Even on the way into tomorrow, we're gonna be seeing these feels like temps staying in the twenties. But as we go to the end of the week, things are gonna be warmer but it comes with a catch rain is on the way, but those feels like temps can be the twenties all day long. So bundle up, keep yourself warm layer, have your jacket, your gloves, your scarf or hand warmers, reduce your time outside even with your furry friends too. Because as we go into the rest of the day today, we are going to be seeing these temperatures drop into the teens. That's what it's going to feel like for the start of your hump day tomorrow. So definitely even colder air ahead of us as we are looking at. Yes, a little bit of, I say it's snow. These have produced snow squall warnings over in northeast Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey. These snow showers are continuing to push on in towards us here in the city and you could even see those snow bands look to the north and west. This is a view from Kingsbridge and the Bronx. You can see those snow bands moving towards the city. So definitely the possibility is there towards the afternoon. I'm thinking between two and six o'clock in the afternoon, it's going to be some festive flakes, nothing accumulating but still be pretty to look at. And if you want to send your pictures in because it is going to be beautiful and by 67 o'clock should be done, we are going to be seeing that cold air come on and going to be in the twenties by the morning will feel like the teens and with that wind, that's going to be the big driving factor behind it. 20 to 30 mile per hour gusts through the rest of the day today and that will be lingering into tomorrow as well. So it's gonna be cold, it's going to be windy. It's gonna feel like the twenties even though the high temperature around 40 degrees with those blustery brisk winds gusts up to 30 MPH twenties overnight. But we feel like the teens because that breezy wind and all that cold air, the good news is we are going to be seeing that feels like temp go way up Thursday into the forties. So that's light at the end of the tunnel and then Friday fifties with the chance of rain. Same story, Sunday, Monday with milder temperatures as we enter the month of December on Friday.

That's when we're gonna see this colder air set in, temperatures are gonna feel like we're in the twenties and teens. Certainly as you make your way out the door for your tomorrow and again, those gusts are really gonna add to that chill in the air. We're talking 15 or 30 mile per hour gusts even as you push forward into your tomorrow. Now, listen, dog walkers for your tomorrow. You do want to make sure the pets are set up nicely and covered as you make your way out the door. Now, listen, we're not worried about snow. Uh, but again, we really are gonna get into some very cold numbers, certainly for some spots up north where you're at. It could feel very well like 10 degrees at certain points tomorrow morning, getting the, your way through the rest of this afternoon. Those numbers tapping out into the mid to upper thirties, noticeably colder than where we were at yesterday. Here's a look at seven o'clock for your tomorrow. Morning, most of us are in the twenties. And again, we can feel like the teens when we see those gusts work its way through 33 for reading 35 for West, 36 for orange. That's at two o'clock for your tomorrow afternoon. And then we're chilly again for your Wednesday night. Thursday morning will be the last of it as it is gonna be a chilly start similar to what we dealt with this morning. But then we're gonna see those numbers oscillate back into the mid to upper forties. Closer to seasonal Friday looks pretty decent as well as far as those temperatures back into the fifties. But we do have some rain that we're gonna talk about, which could mess up plans for your late Friday. And when I return, I'll talk to you more about that in just a little bit Becky.

And as you're out driving on the local roadways, we know it is going to be cold Christy. When do you think the temperatures are going to warm up just a little bit? I mean, as we enter into a weekend, they pick up, but that comes with some rain, unfortunately, but we see that our radar over the past six hours is showing some flurries really over across the area. But that is going to be continuing through today and tomorrow, really mostly northwestern New York and Pennsylvania are seeing the snow, but we can't rule out flurries throughout the day today as well as to tomorrow. We see it coming across and that comes with some bitterly cold temperatures across the area. And this is our, feels like versus our regular temperatures, regular temperatures on the left over here in our blue cold feels like temperatures. So what you need to know is these frigid temperatures continue. This is later in our evening tonight, around dinner time, we're seeing temperatures in the upper twenties and low thirties, but feeling like they're in the twenties, 22 in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie. And that is going to drop even more. As we head into our overnight hours, this is 1045 starting to get into the teens in some spots. Brewster seeing 17 and it's gonna be even colder for tomorrow. So you're gonna wanna keep that in mind for your commute tomorrow morning. This is 6 a.m. feeling like 16 out there. So definitely bundle up and be prepared if you're heading when you're heading out the door. And then by your afternoon, those temperatures still stay pretty cold with some wind gusts of around 20 miles an hour. And we can't rule out some accumulation really northwestern Ulster County, seeing between one and three inches, really not much and flurries passing throughout the rest of the day and we see some rain chances pick up for Friday. But with that, our temperatures are also on the rise thankfully and it's really a turnaround from today. Don't be fooled by this temperature. It's feeling like the twenties out there frigid and then a really big switch into Friday. Our temperatures jump up and some rain can return for your weekend. Let's take a look at your 10 day forecast. Now, we've got a frigid and cold Wednesday for you with some gust winds and temperatures are on the rise into the weekend with some chance for rain for your Friday and we're back to seasonable temperatures through next week.

Long Island, we are dealing with a bitter blast, cold weather conditions, gusty winds around Long Island, we've seen wind gusts close to 30 MPH. And with that, it feels much colder outside. And that's one of the things we're going to be dealing with these gusty winds. These feels like temperatures are in the twenties and they will be dropping down into the teens as we head into tomorrow morning. So bundle up the next 24 hours, we are tracking a few flurries and the potential of a snow shower as we go into this evening. So we may have a few festive lakes coming our way as we head towards the evening hours. We'll keep an eye on that as we go through the rest of the day. Don't forget. Tomorrow morning, temperatures start out in the twenties and we're going to stay cold Wednesday afternoon. This afternoon temperatures will be in the thirties to around 40 degrees. The threat of a few flurries or a passing snow shower. Wind chills are in the twenties, wind chills. That's what you dress for tomorrow morning. Wind chills are in the teens and we're going to be looking at air temperatures in the twenties and you can see rain warmer weather by Friday, some showers, Sunday, Monday, but bundle up, watch out for a few floors this afternoon and cold weather into tomorrow morning.

Um you know, there are northern counties. I know that a lot of us are getting excited and seeing the fun. But actually our first typical snowfall of an inch or more is right around December 17th. So we do have a little bit more of time to get there until we really see those accumulations which we're not going to be seeing today. We are expecting this bitter blast. It's just very cold and it's obvious it's a cold comparison to yesterday's temperatures and what we're going to be noticing tomorrow morning, especially as we notice the teens waking up on Wednesday and the winds gusting upwards of 30 mile per hour range. Just adds on to that factor of the chill descending upon the garden state. Now, as far as morning temperatures, comparison to actual temperature to how it feels when the wind is whipping across our skin and it's going to feel very cold frigid even into the 15. This is quite big departure. We should be seeing and feeling the fifties and we are nowhere near that. What adds to the mix are these 36 to 30 mile per hour wind gusts of a short burst of wind sustained are still into the teens range and that's pretty consistent into this afternoon. Now, by this evening, slowly we start to notice things improvement proving and as well as tomorrow in the afternoon, but by then the cold air is really just in here funneled and it's going to stay here pretty. We're starting to notice some snow bands and some flurries thanks to some lake effect snow heading our way. That's why I don't think that we're really going to be seeing much of accumulation. There's so much action with the winds and I think it's really not staying put just quite the moisture and the cold setup is not across our state. But by tomorrow we wake up in the twenties and it feels like the teens, we start off with sunny skies and the clouds start to collect as well. So we could notice the temperature is really falling below or we should be today as well as tomorrow. Temperatures, cold bundle up all the layers are necessary, but more seasonal temperatures returned Thursday, Friday into the fifties. We go with also the likelihood of using our umbrellas once again with some showers and opportunity for such heading into the weekend as well. Fifties will continue in a downward trend coming into play for next Tuesday. And by Hanukkah, we're noticing 44 degrees and drier conditions.
