Ninth-graders at Wyandanch High School learned all about the power of wind energy during a lesson Wednesday.
Students created their own wind turbines after being inspired by the book, "The Boy who Harnessed the Wind."
One group used 400 popsicle sticks to create a windmill. Another used the fan from an old Playstation 3.
This project is sponsored by PTech, a grant that will give these students community college credits when they graduate from high school.
