(AP) - A Washington, D.C., woman visiting Bellport died Sunday after being stabbed multiple times.

Suffolk County police responded to a 911 call on Leisurely Lane in Bellport early Sunday and say they found 61-year-old Nancy McKinley suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, where she died.

The victim's friend, who lives in the home where the stabbing took place, told police an intruder had attacked her friend.
