Woman killed in N. Lindenhurst hit-and-run

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed an Amityville woman overnight in North Lindenhurst. Christina Ramdas, 22, was struck in the westbound lanes of Route 109 near Wellwood Avenue

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed an Amityville woman overnight in North Lindenhurst.
Christina Ramdas, 22, was struck in the westbound lanes of Route 109 near Wellwood Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. Police say the driver struck Ramdas and sped away.
Ramdas lived less than a mile from where she was hit. A friend of Ramdas tells News 12 Long Island that Ramdas had been in a car with her boyfriend but that she was told to get out of the vehicle after a fight.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the situation.
The road was closed for hours as police investigated. The scene has since been cleaned andreopened.
