A 62-year-old woman was critically injured during a hit-and-run Saturday night in North Lawrence, according to police.

Authorities say she was struck by a dark-colored SUV while crossing Burnside Avenue around 7:35 p.m. The driver fled westbound on that same street.

The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
