An East Patchogue woman is facing time behind bars for allegedly starving her dog.
The Suffolk SCPA says a 7-year-old pit bull named Duncan was handed over to the group Guardians of Rescue back in May.
Video from that time shows that Duncan was severely emaciated. The dog had rocks in his stomach and was in such poor condition that it needed to be put down.
The owner, 22-year-old Madison Cammarata, is now facing animal cruelty charges.
Cammarata faces up to a year in prison if convicted.
