Police say a woman is accused of driving drunk and colliding with an SUV in Smithtown.
The incident happened on Nesconset Highway and Mount Pleasant Road just after 1 a.m.
Police say 20-year-old Amanda Dellegar was drunk when she collided with a vehicle driven by Suffolk District Attorney's Office Investigator Michael Maxwell.
Maxwell was pinned inside his SUV and had to be cut out.
Maxwell and Dellegar were both taken to the hospital.
