The winter weather is continuing to make air and road travel difficult.

Over 1,100 flights have been canceled due to the weather. Officials say this round of snow and ice is causing major problems at LaGuardia Airport. Many arriving flights have been delayed by an average of about five hours.

MacArthur and JFK are mostly on schedule aside from a few scattered delays and cancellations.

As of now, there are no delays or cancellations on any of the LIRR branches. The railroad's new "Darth Vader" snow removal tool could be put to use today. The vehicle will help keep the trains on time.
