FORECAST:
A layer of clouds will continue to stay draped across New Jersey through today with scattered showers the southern parts of the state.
These clear out as a front passes this afternoon. It ushers in windy weather for tonight as gusts reach near 25-35 mph.
Tonight's winds calm into tomorrow where it will be sunny and gorgeous.
High temperatures push into the lower 60s and it will be pleasant. It remains pleasant into Thursday, too, where cooler/colder weather begins to settle in. Thursday afternoon will be chilly and the overnight into Friday morning will be cold.
This cold shot will keep temperatures near the freezing mark in most spots in New Jersey, whereas the urban centers will be in the mid-30s.
Looking ahead to the weekend, another "inland runner" or just a front is possible with moderate rain and wind on Sunday. Although not promised, it is something we're watching as it develops this week.
