There is a chance of some early showers and thunderstorms overnight that give way to cloudy skies as we progress throughout the night.
The main concerns come on Thursday with high heat and humidity combined with severe storm chances. The risk window is early afternoon into the night.
These storms could bring lightning and downpours leading to isolated flash flooding, strong to damaging wind, and the chance for storms to try to rotate as well.
Severe storms could fire up as early as 2 p.m., so stay weather aware throughout the later hours of the day.
The storms aren't the only thing we are dealing with for Thursday. High temperatures will be into the high-80s and low-90s, with temperatures feeling well into the 90s due to stifling humidity levels.
This could be a dangerous heat and could easily become the hottest (and hottest feeling) day of 2025 so far. This is going to be the start of a high heat stretch that will stay well into the 80s and cross into the low-90s over the next week.
The potential for a heat wave next week is there. Updates on that will become clearer as we get a bit closer.
