Westport police say two people were rescued after high winds caused their boat to capsize in the waters off Compo Beach.
Police say people walking along the beach noticed the overturned boat and called 911 just after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities say the two people who had been on board spent an hour in very cold water before they were rescued.
Deputy Chief Foti Koskinas says the two were treated for hypothermia and are expected to be OK.
