Westbury Middle School students will be learning remote again today following a fire.

This is the second remote day in a row for students, after a fire broke out in the school’s basement that caused severe smoke and water damage.

As News 12 has reported, the fire triggered an alarm early Monday morning.

Nassau's chief fire marshal tells News 12 an electrical issue caused the flames.
