The repaving of a West Babylon street has driven residents to the end of their wits over what they call shoddy work.
Homeowners say Pratt Street was paved with dips and potholes before the town called in a contractor. However, residents say the street had uneven patches, tar spots and more dips after the crew cleared out. They also say the road now floods after a heavy rainfall.
The contractor believes the heat wave caused the problems, but the town supervisor says he will get the contractor to work on the street as long as the problems remain. The contractor says he is willing to do whatever it takes to fix Pratt Street.
