A West Babylon mother is facing felony charges for allegedly driving drunk with three little girls in the car.
Police say Barbara Kalinowski, 44, rear-ended a car just before noon yesterday on Washington Avenue and Express Drive South in Brentwood.
According to police, her 8- and 10-year-old daughters and one of their friends were in the car.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Kalinowski, a kindergarten teacher at Tooker Avenue Elementary School in West Babylon, is facing felony DWI charges under Leandra's law.
Her driver's license was suspended and court orders of protection were issued against her to stay away from her two children.
West Babylon School District released a statement saying, "We are truly concerned about these allegations as the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority."
Tooker Avenue Elementary School confirmed that Kalinowski has been put on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
She is due back in court on March 28.
