Weather Update: Snow on the way for LI
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Suffolk County until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
News 12 Meteorologist Bill Korbel says Long Island will be on the northern edge of a light snowfall caused by an offshore storm system. He says snow will develop between 10 p.m. and midnight, and become heavier overnight.
Highest accumulations are expected on the East End, with between 2 and 4 inches of snow.
Much of Suffolk County will see between 1 and 2 inches, with only a dusting in northern Nassau County.
