News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Chris Nallan says cloudy skies with periods of heavy rain are expected tonight.

Long Islanders may see a few thunderstorms and can expect 1-2 inches of rain.

Street flooding is possible, although an earlier flood watch has been lifted.

Rain will taper out toward the morning, with a few showers possible throughout Friday.
