An earlier winter weather advisory has been lifted for Nassau and Suffolk counties.
News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Sam Augeri says to expect a mix of snow and rain through the rest of the evening.
Most areas of Long Island saw between 1 and 2 inches of snow in the earlier part of the day.
Temperatures in the 20s will cause the roads to get icy overnight, so exercise caution when driving.
