News 12 Storm watch Team Meteorologist Allan Nosoff says it will be a sunny weekend with warm temperatures.
From the NWS, a rip current statement is in effect through Saturday evening along the south shore of Long Island.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool. Lows down to 60. Some upper 50s in spots.
SATURDAY: While it might be too early for pumpkin spice weather, it'll feel like it in the morning! A crisp start and sunshine all day long with no humidity. Highs near 78. Lows down to 64.
SUNDAY: Still really nice but more summer-like. Wildfire smoke will return through the morning, with a hazy sky expected. Not near the ground so air quality is expected to stay near moderate and not unhealthy. Highs up to 85. Lows around 68.
MONDAY: Hot and humid again with mostly sunny skies. Highs approaching 90, feeling like the low 90s. Lows around 70.
TUESDAY: A shower possible early, but trending drier. Partly cloudy. Highs near 82. Lows down to 66.
WEDNESDAY - FRIDAY: A really nice pattern overhead. Sunny and nice with highs near 80. Lows in the low-60s.
