There is a chance for some storms that could bring heavy rain and gusty winds Thursday.

Storm Watch Team meteorologist Sam Augeri says the main impact from the storm will come from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The best chance for storms will be in Nassau County, with a weakening trend as showers track east.

In the aftermath of the storm, it will gradually get cooler over the weekend.

There will also be a chance for some midday showers on Saturday and temperatures dropping to the 50s by Sunday.
