News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Jake Dolinger says there will be isolated storms across Long Isand through Sunday.
NEW: Flood Watch is in effect starting tonight at midnight. 1 to 2 inches-plus of rain on Sunday for parts of the Island.
NOW: A nice rest of our Saturday with mild temperatures. Staying very muggy overnight ahead of the storms.
NEXT: The morning will be a wet one. The afternoon will have some clearing before a final push of rain in the evening. An isolated severe storm can't be ruled out. There is a moderate risk of flooding for Western Nassau County.
FORECAST
OVERNIGHT: Staying very mild and humid. Storms arrive very late. Thunder and heavy rain possible. Lows in the mid-70s.
SUNDAY: Storms in the morning, become more isolated through the day. There is a flood watch until 12 a.m. Monday. Highs around 80 degrees.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Slight passing shower. Clearing overnight. Lows around 70.
MONDAY: Hot and humid with mostly sunny skies. Highs in the upper-80s, feeling like the mid-90s. Overnight lows near 70.
TUESDAY: Hot and humid. A few afternoon storms. Highs in the upper-80s, lows in the lows-70s.
WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds. highs in the mid-80s. Lows around 70.
THURSDAY: Sunny with an isolated afternoon storm. Highs in the mid-80s.
