News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Alex Calamia says showers will continue through early Saturday with locally heavy rain possibly for the East End. The second half of Saturday and Sunday will be cooler with gusty winds.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Showers continue through Saturday morning with drier weather for the afternoon. Some locally heavy rain is possible, mostly for the East End. The afternoon will be mostly cloudy with increasing winds gusting out of the west northwest near 30 mph. Sunday will be dry and cooler with gusty winds and highs in the upper 50s. Beautiful, warming weather follows for next week.
TODAY: Cloudy and breezy in the morning with rain showers likely, especially in Suffolk County. Turning windy and drier after lunch time. Mostly cloudy with highs near 64. West northwest winds 15 to 25 mph gusting to 30. Sunset 6:03.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy and windy. Cooler with lows near 48. Westerly winds 20 to 35 mph.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny and breezy. Cooler with highs near 59. Lows near 46.

TUESDAY: Sunny and seasonable with highs near62. Lows near 47.
