WHAT'S NEXT: The remnant moisture from NICOLE will move up this way Friday into Saturday. Drier and cooler air rushes in Saturday evening into Sunday. Expect a colder trend in temperatures for much of next week.

NICOLE – The system is a tropical storm, located over the northern Bahama Islands, and moving west towards Florida. It is forecast to strengthen into a category 1 hurricane briefing before it makes landfall on the Florida East Coast late tonight or early Thursday morning. It will weaken as it moves up the East Coast, bringing tropical rains by Friday/Saturday to Long Island.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says after a pleasant Thursday there will be tropical moisture and gusty winds for the end of the workweek.
