Water service was temporarily shut off in a portion of Copiague Monday morning due to a water main break apparently caused by cold weather.
The break occurred at the intersection of Scudder Avenue and Rita Place.
A total of 45 properties in the area has been impacted as crews make repairs.
The Suffolk County Water Authority estimated that water would be turned back on around 3:15 p.m.
