Warwick Valley High School reopened today after being closed for most of the past two days because of a power outage.
The high school had to dismiss students early Monday and cancel classes Tuesday because a transformer blew causing the campus to lose power.
School officials say that although it was difficult to buy a new transformer because of supply chain issues, they were able to purchase a transformer from a private company.
On Tuesday, the district, with the assistance of Orange & Rockland Utilities, installed the new transformer. The district has also secured two generators to provide the high school with electricity in the meantime, if needed.
