


Tonight will be partly cloudy, with the chance for a passing shower or thunderstorm during the overnight hours. It'll stay warm and muggy, with lows in the 60s and low-70s.
Wednesday brings a mix of sun and clouds along with building heat. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s to low 90s and a few spotty late-day showers and thunderstorms could develop. Some of those storms may produce brief heavy downpours and gusty winds.

Long Island will see plenty of sunshine and hot conditions by Thursday, with temperatures in the 90s and feels-like temperatures climbing into the low 100s. The peak of the heat continues Friday, with afternoon temperatures in the upper 90s to near 100. Heat index values could range from 100 to 110, so limit strenuous outdoor activities, stay hydrated and check on those most vulnerable to the heat. A late-day pop-up shower or thunderstorm is possible.
Looking ahead to the Fourth of July on Saturday, expect a mix of sun and clouds with continued hot weather. Temperatures will once again be in the 90s, heat index values will push into the upper 90s and low 100s, and a few late-day thunderstorms can't be ruled out.
