Here’s what you need to know:
  • It's mild, cloudy and a bit humid this morning. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s.
  • Today will be similar to yesterday but with more sunshine and less haze. Highs will be in the low 80s. Wildfire smoke from the Canadian wildfires will be less this afternoon with improving air quality.
  • The air quality will be at moderate levels with the general public not impacted. People in sensitive groups should still take it easy this afternoon.
  • The dry streak continues into the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 80s with increasing humidity. Overnight lows in the 60s to low 70 degrees.
  • The next chance of rain is the midweek of next week with an approaching front. Temperatures also soar to the 90s next week. Drought conditions will be monitored closely due to the recent lack of rainfall. Stay tuned for updates!
  • TRACKING THE TROPICS: We're currently monitoring three areas of interest in the Atlantic basin. Tropical Storm Dexter will become extratropical later on this morning as it continues to move away from the Northeast coastline posing no direct threat to land. The other tropical disturbances have a low to medium chance of further development along the Southeastern coast of the US and the central Tropical Atlantic over the next 7 days. The tropical disturbance off the Southeastern coast is kicking up the surf and bringing a rip current risk to the ocean facing beaches. Stay tuned for updates!
