Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says it will by dry for Thursday and Friday before the chance for pop-up showers and storms over the weekend.

Air quality on Long Island is now moderate with the biggest pollutant being ozone. The air quality alert has been extended through Thursday. Haze and smoke is very low in the area and is expected to stay low through Thursday. From time to time we may just notice a little bit of a hazy sky.
