Walls of Honor ceremony at Eisenhower Park pays tribute to veterans

Dozens of families gathered for the event in East Meadow, where the names of 280 veterans were added to the monument walls.

The Nassau County Veterans Monument Fund held its annual Walls of Honor ceremony at Eisenhower Park on Sunday.
Dozens of families gathered for the event in East Meadow, where the names of 280 veterans were added to the monument walls.
The monument has close to 11,000 engraved names of U.S. veterans who are active or deceased.
Families at the event told News 12 that they were grateful to be a part of a ceremony that honors their loved ones who served the country.
