A camp in Wheatley Heights is helping to provide a carefree summer for children who are battling illnesses.
More than 2,000 people walked Sunday to raise money for Sunrise Day Camp.
The money raised will allow kids with cancer and their siblings the opportunity to attend the camp free of charge.
Sunrise Day Camp gives kids a break from hospital stays and chemotherapy.
Organizers say $800,000 was raised from Sunday's walk.
