Wake services held for NYPD officer killed in Southern State crash

Clifford Saintvil was killed in a single-car crash on Jan. 8. Police say his SUV veered of the parkway near Exit 13 and hit a tree while he was on his way to work.

Family, friends and loved ones gathered Thursday to remember the NYPD officer who was killed in a crash on the Southern State Parkway.
Wake services were held for Clifford Saintvil, of Shirley, at Moloney’s Funeral Home in Hauppauge from 4-8 p.m.
As News 12 has reported, Saintvil was killed in a single-car crash on Jan. 8. Police say his SUV veered of the parkway near Exit 13 and hit a tree while he was on his way to work.
Saintvil was 32 years old.
He will be laid to rest Friday at Calverton Nation Cemetery.
