Police from Long Island and all over the region gathered in Queens Tuesday for the wake of NYPD Officer Randolph Holder.
Holder's wake began this morning at the Greater Allen African Methodist Episcopal Cathedral in Jamaica.
Wednesday afternoon, 30,000 officers are expected to head to Holder's funeral which will begin at 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, police say tests on the gun recovered in the Harlem River prove it was the weapon used to kill Holder. Tyrone Howard is charged with his murder.
Rev. Al Sharpton announced that he would not be attending the officer's funeral because he doesn't want to be a distraction. Officer Holder will be buried in his native Guyana.
