Family and friends said their final goodbyes to a volunteer Inwood firefighter killed in the line of duty.
A wake took place for Joseph Sanford Jr. at Our Lady of Good Council Church on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old was hurt battling a house fire in Woodmere earlier this month and died last week.
Sanford was a 17-year member of the department.
Sanford's funeral will be held Wednesday.
